Tsunami Alert!

News just came in this morning announcing that a strong quake has hit Indonesia twice. The first quake strikes at about 8am follow by a second one which hit at about 11.30am today. Several parts in Singapore felt the tremors as well. Indonesia has warned the public 4 times in less than 24 hours of a possible tsunami strike already.

My girlfriend is on her way home now cause the building she's working inside started to shake for like 3-4 times twice from this morning till afternoon. Everyone will have to evacuate due to security reason every time it shake.

The company she's working is calling it a day off but not sure about others. Hopefully it will not be a tsunami as I don't think that many of us will want that to happen. Let just pray that it's just a normal quake. If you're wondering if this quake will affect the stability of the buildings in Singapore, well, Channel NewsAsia provided us with some info.

Buildings in Singapore are designed to established building codes and are sufficiently robust to withstand tremors caused by distant earthquakes. - CNA/ac
