Magic!!!!!!! or Magic?????

Hmmm.... nothing really much to do now so I've decided to check on magic cause I was really fascinated by it when I was a kid but as I grew up, instead of being amazed by the tricks & performances, I was amazed by the truth behind it instead.

I'm not sure by discovering the truth can really change the way I look at magic. What I'm afraid is that I might not enjoyed it like I used to. It will give you the idea that it's fake & knowing that the performers basically cheating on people's money just to make themselves rich & famous.

Fortunately I still enjoy magic even until now & I can say that knowing the truth really make me appreciate what these people have done. It's not easy to come out with a new tricks that is not easily spotted on how it's being perform & you really need alot of ideas, time, practises & patient to be able to pull it off.

After knowing the truth behind some of the magic tricks, I'm beginning to looked at them as a very talented & smart people instead of just a performer. Among some of the famous magicians are David Copperfield, David Blaine & Criss Angel.

David Copperfield

David Copperfield is actually coming down to Singapore & I really want to go & see him live. Too bad he comes at the wrong time as there is other celebrities that are coming & is way more important than him.

But anyone who wish to book his ticket can alway vist Sistic for info. You may also click here to access to my older post if you wish to know who is coming on the same month as David.

David Blaine

Criss Angel

I've listed a link below which I think is one of the best magic secret reveal but then again, it might be a fake one too! You'll never know.

Study! Study! Study!

Final exam is coming soon for both of us & we need to prepare ourselves for it. Last Sunday we went to the library again, hopefully this time we were able to find a seat that has a nice view cause last Saturday we couldn't manage to get a single empty seat.

To our suprise, that place is still crowded with people even though we reached there early in the morning. Eventually we ended up sitting in the library's coffee shop call 'Cafe Galilee'. We have to order something otherwise they wouldn't allow us to sit there for free! No business no studying......

3 coffees are all it takes to freshen up our day!

Garden Of Ang Mo Kio!

Last Saturday, we supposed to went to the library & study together but unfortunately that place is so crowded that you will have to sit on the floor if you wish to stay there. So we decided to walk around somewhere nearby before heading back home & something caught our eyes. We've been living here for about a year plus now yet we have no idea that such place exist.

It's the 'Ang Mo Kio Town Garden West' that caught our attention. The scenary here is so beautiful that it does not look like a typical house area garden. I have not exactly went to alot of garden before, but this one is the nicest yet the largest so far I've been to.

New York New York!

Yesterday both me & my girlfriend's stomach was so fulled that it feels like something is going to burst out from our chest like the scene in the movie call Alien. Thanks to New York New York for giving us that sort of experience & what a wonderful evening dinner we had! This is the first time that both of us went inside to have something (yes, finally). We were always planning for it since the opening day of this fine restaurant which is located in Ang Mo Kio Hub (you may kindly see left picture for the map).

After having to wait for an empty seat for about 15 minutes, we're about to have our first look at the menu. Looking into so many delicious foods in the menu just makes it really hard to pick one. I eventually order a 'Penne Alfredo Chicken Cream Mushroom' & a 'Root Beer Float' while my girlfriend decided that she will have the 'Juicy Burger' & 'Buffalo Wings'. I can say that the root beer float brings back old memories as I love to order a root beer float when I was a kid everytime I stepped into A&W. The penne is so creamy and the chicken itself is not that bad either but I personally think that they need to work out abit on the chicken since there are so many nice chickens out there (KFC's original being one of it!).

Juicy Burger

As for the burger, well, it's not those average type of burger that you eat like those at McDonald. This burger is quite big in size and it is fill with juicy beef all over it. My girlfriend can't even finish the entire burger as it can really make you full after you have eaten half of it. 'Buffalo Wings' is not the nicest food we ate among all three. You can feel the hot warm crispy meat with some spicy feeling but the taste is somehow weird. I don't really like it so much.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay here & will have our dinner there again in the near future!

Concert Tickets!

Last Friday after work, we rushed down to collect our tickets cause we can't wait to get our hands on it already after we had made the booking online (You may refer to my previous post here). Must make sure that we had the tickets secure on our side before going to sleep soundly that night. Hehehehe.......

It's been a long time since I actually felt that good about wanting to go to a concert. I still remember my last concert experience is when Robbie Williams came down to Singapore & I'm at that time was working in HMV. The company sent me & few of my other colleagues there to sell his albums & in return, we get a chance to see him performed live. That is how I ended up going to his concert.

Tsunami Alert!

News just came in this morning announcing that a strong quake has hit Indonesia twice. The first quake strikes at about 8am follow by a second one which hit at about 11.30am today. Several parts in Singapore felt the tremors as well. Indonesia has warned the public 4 times in less than 24 hours of a possible tsunami strike already.

My girlfriend is on her way home now cause the building she's working inside started to shake for like 3-4 times twice from this morning till afternoon. Everyone will have to evacuate due to security reason every time it shake.

The company she's working is calling it a day off but not sure about others. Hopefully it will not be a tsunami as I don't think that many of us will want that to happen. Let just pray that it's just a normal quake. If you're wondering if this quake will affect the stability of the buildings in Singapore, well, Channel NewsAsia provided us with some info.

Buildings in Singapore are designed to established building codes and are sufficiently robust to withstand tremors caused by distant earthquakes. - CNA/ac
